Paper negative print

30Jan13

iPhone reflection
The first black and white photography class I took required everyone to make a paper negative print on the first day. It was easy, and a good way to introduce the basics of the enlarger to students.

Catching my reflection on a white canvas reminded me of those days in the darkroom, and I reenacted what I typically look like when taking a picture with my iPhone for this project. It also had an “E.T. phone home” feel about it.

This is day 30 of Photo 365.

  1. You’re doing great! I’m one day premature for a One Month Celebration, but congrats and keep up the good work.

Awwww, thank you Frank! There are certainly desperation days (like today) but it’s really forcing me to stretch my mind. That’s always a good thing. Can’t wait to see what February brings.
